Best Movies Coming in 2021
Now that we’re all home more than ever before, there’s never been a better time to look forward to new movies on the horizon. Traditional movie theaters today are functioning at half capacity and, in some places, still closed entirely. We’ll look at our watch list for 2021 and give you a few tips on how you can enjoy them from the comfort of your own home.
Ghostbusters: Afterlife
Even though this movie was supposed to debut several months ago, there’s still only so much that is known about it. Mckenna Grace, Carrie Cook, Paul Rudd, and Finn Wolfhard are all slated to appear, with the crux of the movie centered around a single mom and her two children. Still, this beloved franchise gives us a chance to revisit a time when all you had to do was call the right people to get a problem fixed.
The Many Shades of Newark
Michael Gandolfini stars in this prequel to The Sopranos, doing justice to his late father (and an iconic TV show that might not have had the most beloved ending). Alan Taylor directs The Many Shades of Newark and with Michael portraying the younger version of his father’s character (Tony). With Jon Bernthal, Ray Liotta, and Vera Farmiga in supporting roles, this movie is definitely going to show off some serious acting chops.
The Boss Baby 2
If you’ve got kids at home, this should be a fun one for everyone to watch. Alec Baldwin lends his voice to this ambitious infant with quite the agenda. Family entertainment is just more fun when there are jokes for audience viewers of all ages.
355
This movie is about a team of agents at the CIA that team up with fellow spies from all over the world. They’re off on an adventure to find a classified weapon that could take down humanity. Written by Theresa Rebeck (screenwriter of NBC’s Smash) and produced by Jessica Chastain, it’s a complex thriller with an all-female cast. And if you were wondering, the title is a nod to Agent 355, a female spy for the patriot side during the American Revolution.
How to Watch at Home
Whether you’re in the mood for a Saturday matinee or a Friday night special, 2021 movies are best enjoyed when you have the right home theatre system. From massive explosions to swelling crescendos, movies just don’t look or sound the same when they’re on a tiny screen with no soundbars. Countless homeowners across the country have upgraded their audio and visual equipment this year, and for good reason. To really enjoy the comforts of your den, living room, or basement, you need to invest in it.
If you’re in the market to build a new system from scratch or you just want to replace a couple of components, we’re here to help. Cathey’s Audio Visual Entertainment (a part of Cathey’s Sewing and Vacuum) can track down exactly what you need to get the best picture and sound from your favorite movies, TV shows, and music.
